Originally released as a tour only edition for the band`s 2006 north american tour in support of Arab Strap, this release from A WHISPER IN THE NOISE combines tracks from the critically acclaimed and long out of print debut album “through the ides of march” as well as tracks from the bands subsequent release “2D”, a collaborative effort with fellow minnesotans “if thousands”.

Both albums were initially self released and the albums in their original forms have long been unavailable. “through the ides of march” was recorded and engineered by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago.Since the original debut album by AWITN “Through The Ides Of March” is not available anymore and will not be re-released any time soon this compilation is the one and only chance for fans of the band to get their hands on the original recordings.
